This hermetic SO-8 package from MSI is designed for Hi-Rel, microwave radio, military & space applications requiring enhanced reliability performance. The package is fully hermetic and operates from DC to 20 GHz. The package body and outline dimensions are compatible with JEDEC Standards MS-012-AA. The package meets MIL-PRF-38534, Appendix C, Table C-VI requirements.

As an overview, the PSN50 sensor provides true RMS measurements from -30 dBm to +20 dBm over the frequency range 50 MHz to 6 GHz enabling users to make highly accurate power measurements for both CW and digitally modulated signals such as GSM/EDGE, CDMA/EV-DO,WCDMA/HSDPA, WiMAX, and TD-SCDMA. Accurate power measurements in the field are important for verifying that transmitter outputs are operating at specified levels. For example, service technicians need to verify base station output power because lower output power can quickly translate into large coverage differences that can cause dropped calls.

2 to 7 Channel Switched Filter Banks

In addition to their standard line of switched filter banks, API technologies recently unveiled a new line with customer-specified frequency coverage from 2 to 7 channels. They cover the 20 MHz to 7500 MHz frequency range with ultimate rejection up to 20 GHz. Low insertion loss and high isolation are achieved through mechanically channelized PIN diode switch manifolds, and lumped element filters have been integrated for increased rejection.
