Biconical Antennas

A.H. Systems has designed and manufactured a family of 7 biconical antennas that operate efficiently over the 20 MHz to 18 GHz frequency range. Each antenna is made to provide reliable, repeatable measurements and is suitable for FCC, MIL-STD, VDE, TEMPEST, and immunity testing.

Biconical antennas model AB-900 is used for emissions and immunity testing to meet various EMC standards It has frequency range of 30 - 300 MHz. The broadband characteristics of the biconical antenna make it a good choice for making sweep measurements and for automated measurement systems.

Sensor Systems capability to design and manufacture specialized products, antenna systems and related components is evidenced by our wide range of unique designs. Examples of these include log periodic arrays, printed dipoles, omni-directional bicones, off-set reflectors, microstrip arrays, ortho mode transducers and segmented reflectors.

This biconical antenna operates in the 1 GHz to 6 GHz frequency range and features a dipole-like radiation pattern, the ability to be used as a transmitting or receiving antenna, and a three year warranty. This antenna is ideal for use as a transmit source antenna for site validations above 1 GHz for radiated emissions test site like OATS (open area test sites), anechoic, and semi-anechoic chambers.
