The Characterization Of Gaussian Noise Sources
2/28/2008
Key applications in high-rate serial data technologies assume that random jitter (RJ) follows a Gaussian distribution and require that receivers be tested under the stress of a calibrated level of Gaussian RJ. However, the most commonly available noise sources have never been rigorously characterized- until now.

IBOC Signal Measurement Using Boonton's 9102 Handheld Spectrum Analyzer
2/28/2008
IBOC (In-Band On-Channel) technology is the development of new digital communication technologies which sends high quality digital signals that analog AM and FM radio use today. These digital signals can be picked up by new digital radios, while they have no impact on traditional analog reception and provide for enhanced sound fidelity, improved reception, and news data services...

Analysis Of Complex Modulated Carriers Using Statistical Methods
2/28/2008
Recent advances in digital techniques have made it possible to measure peak power as well as average power accurately with total dynamic range and modulation bandwidth as the only limiting conditions. This article describes a method for obtaining and using probability functions to analyze the peak power of complex modulated RF signals.
