2.0 - 8.0 MHz, 200 W Solid State High Power Amplifier: AMP20100 Datasheet
The AMP20100 is a solid-state high-power amplifier developed by Exodus Advanced Communication, optimized for a wide range of RF and microwave applications including EMI/RFI testing, laboratory experiments, CW/pulse transmission, and communication systems. Operating over a broad frequency range from 2.0 to 8.0 GHz, the amplifier delivers a minimum of 200 watts saturated output power and 100 watts minimum at 1 dB compression (P1dB), ensuring reliable, high-performance signal amplification in demanding environments.
Built with a Class A/AB linear architecture and advanced semiconductor technology, the AMP20100 provides a minimum gain of 53 dB with a 20 dB gain adjustment range, supporting flexible signal control both locally and remotely. Gain flatness is maintained within 5 dB peak-to-peak for stable performance across the band. The amplifier also offers superior spectral purity, achieving <-30 dBc intermodulation distortion (IMD), <-20 dBc harmonics, and <-60 dBc non-harmonic spurious emissions, making it suitable for precision applications.
Designed in a compact rack-mountable form factor, the AMP20100 includes built-in protection circuits and extensive monitoring capabilities. Input power protection is rated up to +10 dBm, and the amplifier is safeguarded against load mismatches with a 4:1 VSWR tolerance and foldback protection. The unit supports 180–240 VAC operation at 47–63 Hz and consumes a maximum of 2500 watts.
User convenience is enhanced with a local LCD interface and remote control options, along with an optional -50 dB sample port. The AMP20100 stands out as a rugged, high-efficiency amplifier ideal for mission-critical RF applications.
