The OLS449 is a surface mount optocoupler featuring an LED and N-P-N silicon photo-transistor that is electrically isolated, but optically coupled inside a hermetic six-pin Leadless Chip Carrier (LLC) package. The optocoupler also has a high Current Transfer Ratio (CTR) with an ambient temperature range from -55°C to +100°C at an LED current of 1mA due to radiation exposure.
The OLS449 is constructed for a low LED operating current while providing superior radiation tolerance margins. This surface mount optocoupler is specifically designed for high reliability and space applications that require optical isolation in radiation environments such as gamma, neutron, and proton radiation with a high CTR and a low saturation VCE.
