Solid State High Power Amplifier: AMP20162 Datasheet
The AMP20162 solid state high-power amplifier is designed for EMI/RFI testing, laboratory use, and general communication applications.
Operating across an ultra-wide bandwidth of 10 kHz to 250 MHz, it provides a minimum of 2500W continuous wave (CW) output power at saturation, with 1700W typical output at P1dB.
Key electrical specifications include a minimum 64 dB gain, a 20 dB adjustable gain range, and low intermodulation distortion (-30 dBc typical). Harmonics are minimized to -20 dBc, and spurious signals are kept below -60 dBc. The amplifier operates on 120/208VAC three-phase power, with a maximum consumption of 9 kW. Protection features include input power protection, load VSWR protection up to 4:1, and foldback mechanisms to prevent damage.
Environmental specifications allow operation from 0 to +50°C, with storage down to -40°C. It can function at altitudes up to 3000 meters and withstand standard shock and vibration during transport. The unit integrates a built-in quiet air-liquid cooling system for thermal management.
Optional features include digital monitoring and control (DMC) with Ethernet, RS422/485, USB, and GPIB interfaces for remote operation. Safety interlock and IEEE rear panel connectivity further enhance its usability. This amplifier delivers high efficiency, reliability, and rugged performance, making it a versatile choice for demanding RF applications.
