Solid State High Power Amplifier: AMP20102

AMP20102

The AMP20102 is a solid-state high-power amplifier engineered by Exodus Advanced Communication for a broad range of applications, including EMI/RFI testing, laboratory use, and both CW and pulse communication systems.

This compact, rack-mounted amplifier employs advanced Class A/AB linear technology and supports an instantaneous bandwidth across the S and C bands, from 2.0 to 8.0 GHz.

Capable of delivering a typical saturated output power of 500 watts (minimum 400 watts) and a P1dB output of approximately 250 watts, the AMP20102 offers a minimum power gain of 56 dB. It features a gain adjustment range of at least 20 dB, with gain flatness held within 5 dB peak-to-peak under constant input. The amplifier also provides harmonics at -20 dBc, spurious signals at -60 dBc, and two-tone intermodulation at -30 dBc.

Designed with built-in protection and monitoring circuits, the AMP20102 includes input protection, load VSWR protection (4:1 max), and optional sample ports. Environmental specs support operation from 0°C to 50°C and storage from -40°C to 85°C, withstanding up to 95% relative humidity and altitudes up to 3000 meters.

The amplifier measures 430 x 310 x 750 mm, weighs approximately 48 kg, and includes N-Female and SC-Female RF connectors. Cooling is achieved through a quiet, closed-loop air-liquid system. Optional digital monitoring and control (DMC) features include Ethernet, USB, RS422/485, and GPIB interfaces, enabling real-time feedback on forward/reflected power, gain, voltage/current, and temperature. The AMP20102 offers robust performance and versatility in a high-power, compact footprint.
