18.0 - 40.0 GHz, 25 Watt Solid State High Power Amplifier: AMP20005

The AMP20005 is a high-performance solid-state power amplifier designed by Exodus Advanced Communication for use in EMI/RFI testing, laboratory environments, continuous wave (CW) and pulsed operations, as well as general communication applications.
Operating over a wide frequency range of 18.0 to 40.0 GHz, this amplifier delivers a minimum of 25 watts and a typical output of 30 watts, making it suitable for demanding high-frequency applications.
Built with advanced technology devices and a Class A/AB linear design, the AMP20005 ensures high power, efficiency, and reliability. The system features a small form factor in a 3U rack-mountable chassis and includes built-in protection circuits and a forward RF sample port. Gain flatness is maintained at a maximum of 4 dB peak-to-peak, and power gain is a minimum of 44 dB, with up to 20 dB of adjustable gain control.
The unit includes remote control capabilities via Ethernet (TCP/IP), RS422/485, USB, and optional GPIB interface. It supports extensive monitoring through optional digital monitor and control (DMC), covering forward/reverse power, VSWR, gain, temperature, voltage, current, and includes optional safety interlock.
Electrically, the amplifier supports input power up to +10 dBm, harmonics at -20 dBc max, and spurious signals suppressed to -60 dBc. It operates from 100–240 VAC with a maximum power consumption of 800 watts.
Mechanically, it weighs 24 kg and features built-in air-liquid cooling, ensuring efficient heat dissipation. The AMP20005 combines rugged construction with high performance, ideal for precise, high-frequency RF applications.
