sas-510-2

The SAS-510-2 Log Periodic Antenna, also known as a log periodic dipole array, is a lightweight, high-performance antenna designed for EMC testing. It offers maximum gain, low Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR), and robust power handling capabilities, making it an ideal solution for scenarios that demand reduced antenna size to minimize chamber wall coupling. Its compact design also increases the half-power beamwidth, making it suitable for testing devices under a wider coverage angle.

Built from corrosion-resistant aluminum and featuring stainless steel hardware, the SAS-510-2 antenna is not only durable but also one of the lightest antennas on the market, weighing just 1.5 pounds. This lightweight construction makes it easy to handle and transport, while still providing high performance over a broad frequency range. The antenna’s flat gain response ensures consistent results, and its excellent cross-polarization properties help meet the stringent requirements set by CISPR, reducing measurement uncertainty during EMC tests.

For applications requiring higher dynamic range, an optional preamplifier (PAM-0202) is available, enhancing overall system sensitivity. Additionally, the SAS-510-2 comes with calibration data and certificates for 1, 3, and 10-meter horizontal polarity, ensuring reliable and accurate performance across various testing conditions. The antenna is particularly suited for industries that require precise and repeatable EMC testing, offering both versatility and ease of use in environments where high-performance and compact design are crucial.
