Modelithics Releases CLR Library For RF Analysis In Cadence Virtuoso Spectre Circuit Simulator

Tampa, FL -- Modelithics, Inc. has released a powerful and feature-rich collection of equivalent circuit models for use with Cadence Virtuoso Spectre Circuit Simulator XL. The surface-mount capacitor, inductor and resistor models are extracted from precision impedance and S-parameter measurements. The models include advanced features such as part-value scaling, substrate scaling, pad scaling, representation of high-order resonant effects and accurate effective series resistance. Most models are measurement validated through at least 10 GHz, with some models validated through 40 GHz. The initial release of this library (version Modelithics CLR Library for Cadence version 1.2) will contain 53 part-value scalable, substrate-scalable Global Models. The library is compatible with Cadence Virtuoso Custom Design Platform (version IC5141).

The models in this library are intended for use with microstrip interconnects, custom-model extraction and can be performed through the Models-On-Demand service. The Modelithics SELECT Library for Cadence is also available, which consists of a free sample library that contains five Modelithics Global Models from the Cadence CLR Library.
