20 - 1000 MHz, 75 Watt Solid State High Power Amplifier: AMP20147 Datasheet
The Exodus AMP20147 is a solid-state high-power amplifier designed for a wide range of applications including EMI/RFI testing, laboratory use, continuous wave (CW) and pulsed operations, and communication systems.
This rack-mounted system features a compact 3U form factor and employs a Class A/AB linear design to ensure high linearity and performance. The amplifier supports instantaneous ultra-wide bandwidth with two operating frequency bands—20–1000 MHz (Band A) and 1–6 GHz (Band B)—switchable in under 15 milliseconds.
The device delivers a minimum output power of 75W (Band A) and 40W (Band B) with a gain of 46 dB minimum, and includes adjustable gain control up to 20 dB. It is engineered for reliability and safety, offering built-in protection circuits, input protection, load VSWR protection, and extensive digital monitoring options for forward/reverse power, gain, ALC, temperature, and voltage/current levels. The unit also includes a local LCD interface and supports remote control through Ethernet (TCP/IP), RS422/485, USB, and optional GPIB.
Environmentally, the AMP20147 operates in temperatures from 0°C to 50°C, is built to withstand normal transport shock and vibration, and functions up to 3000 meters altitude. Mechanically, it measures 430 x 133.3 x 560 mm and weighs 22 kg. Cooling is managed via a variable-speed internal fan.
Exodus also offers optional features like RF sample ports, safety interlocks, and calibrated power monitoring with offset correction for high-accuracy applications, making the AMP20147 a versatile and dependable solution for modern RF amplification needs.
