The Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) is a new radio interface that is a part of Release 13, 3GPP. It is adapted to work in difficult radio conditions, especially in machine type traffic applications. Although NB-IoT is an independent radio interference, it is closely related to LTE networks.
