Key features include up to four independent direct digital synthesis (DDS) sources and an internal combiner, facilitating rapid intermodulation and “hot S22” tests without external signal sources. The analyzer provides a unique 100 dB power sweep range with automatic level control (ALC), ensuring exceptional linearity, power accuracy, and stability even when external boosters or preamplifiers are used. Additional capabilities such as integrated pulse modulators, pulse profiling, multiple sweep modes (magnitude, frequency, AM/AM, and AM/PM), and external power supply control for power-added efficiency (PAE) testing enhance its value for comprehensive amplifier evaluation.

The ZNA’s modular design allows further extension for on-wafer chip characterization, impedance tuning, harmonic load pull tests, and noise figure measurements in collaboration with industry partners. In summary, the R&S®ZNA provides a versatile, high-precision platform for high-power amplifier testing, ensuring reliable results and supporting advanced industry applications through both standalone features and potential system integrations.
