High-Linearity 5GHz Front-End Modules (FEM): RFFM8500Q

The RFFM8500Q is a 4.9GHz - 5.85GHz high-linearity Front End Module (FEM) integrated with a power amplifier (PA), a single pole double throw (SPDT) switch, an LNA and a power detector coupler to improve accuracy and meet RF front end needs for an IEEE 802.11 a/n WiFi system.

The RFFM8500Q has an ultra-small form factor and integrated matching to minimize the application layout area, and greatly reduce the number of external components, the system footprint, and manufacturability cost.  The FEM is housed in a 3mm x 3mm x 1.0mm, 16-pin laminate package, and it tested in accordance with the AEC-Q100 Standard. Typical applications for the RFFM8500Q include automotive WiFi, automotive diagnostics, and WiFi infotainment.
