San Ramon, CA -- Giga-tronics Incorporated is proud to announce a new addition to the Series 8000 Microwave Switch Instrument Line with Ethernet LAN based microwave switch modules.

The new Series 8000 Ethernet LAN is available in multiple configurations that are fully customizable. Various types and sizes of microwave switches such as SPDT, SP6T, SP8Ttransfer switches, terminated or non-terminated switches, can be assembled into the Series 8000 Ethernet LAN in order to meet customer's need.

In addition, the Series 8000 Ethernet LAN features an easy-to-use web based interface that allows the customer to painlessly setup and configure the module. It allows control of microwave switches from a computer using 10 or 100 Mb Ethernet network. The LAN is VXI-11.3 compliant and it is compatible with ATE systems that use TCP/IP networks. With a RF switch range of frequency from DC to 40 GHz, and incorporating the SCPI Command Tree that makes programming easier, the Series 8000 Ethernet LAN provides additional benefits to customers with high speed and reduced cost.

"These Ethernet LAN based microwave switches will be a great asset to any test and measurement environment, combining high bandwidth and rock solid reliability with all the benefits of LAN based devices," said Mr. Jeffrey Lum, Chief Technical Officer, Giga-tronics Incorporated.
