Ted Roller, VP Of Channel Development At Intronis, Talks With Us About Manhours Per Gigabyte

By Ted Roller, VP of channel development, Intronis
Q: Intronis is fairly well known in the channel for having a strong BDR solution. Lately, I have been hearing more and more about how Intronis is focusing on saving MSPs time – what is that all about?
A: For the last twelve months, Intronis has been focusing considerable effort on building an organizational philosophy we refer to as MPG, or Manhours per Gigabyte™. Intronis believes that if we can save our channel partners time in every facet of their business, we are going to create a new level of efficiency in their business, and that has a direct and meaningful impact on long term profitability. Let me give you a few examples of how the MPG philosophy translates into results at Intronis:
- Ease of Deployment and setup – we recently released our deployable installer, which allows our partners to deploy the Intronis agent to virtually any Windows machine remotely. In addition, we have lowered the time it takes to create a backup set to just a couple minutes, and even less than that when templates are employed. That saves time. Our developers are constantly clocking the time it takes to deploy our product, and making a concerted effort to lower that time.
- Tech Support measured in seconds, not minutes – I talk with our partners at trade events on a weekly basis, and I hear again and again how wonderful our tech support team does their job. Part of that effort is a commitment to answer the phone in less than 30 seconds from the time the call hits our office, and to provide the highest level of support. We measure both the success level of the calls and the time it takes to answer. This week average hold times for tech support were 16 seconds.
- Finally, none of the above matters much if you cannot count on the product to work and work well every day. First and foremost the team at Intronis is dedicated to providing a solution that consistently delivers on the promise to get your customer's data safely offsite, store it in an encrypted fashion until you need it, and the deliver it in the most expeditious fashion available to get back up and running.
