9.6 - 9.9 GHz, 500 Watt Solid State High Power Pulse Amplifier: AMP60018 Datasheet

Engineered for demanding RF environments, this compact rack-mounted power amplifier delivers high-reliability performance for EMI/RFI testing, HIRF, radar, communications, TWT driver functions, and other high-power pulsed applications. Operating from 9.6 to 9.9 GHz, it is optimized for S-Band high-power linear pulse systems, providing a minimum of 500 W peak pulse output with exceptional stability and consistency.

With 57 dB minimum gain and ±2 dB gain flatness, the amplifier ensures accurate, repeatable performance across its operating band. Advanced Class AB linear design supports high dynamic range and clean signal amplification, while low harmonic (<-30 dBc) and spurious (<-60 dBc) levels make it ideal for mission-critical test and threat simulation environments. Fast pulse capability includes widths up to 50 µs, duty cycles up to 10%, PRF up to 10 kHz, and <100 ns rise/fall times, with pulse-to-pulse amplitude stability of 0.1 dB (typ), ensuring consistent, repeatable output for radar and pulse-modulated systems.

Built-in electronic protection and fault monitoring safeguard against over-drive, thermal stress, and severe load mismatch conditions (VSWR up to 4:1), delivering rugged performance in lab and field environments. Flexible local LCD controls and remote interface support simplify integration into automated test benches and system architectures. Optional sample port enables convenient output monitoring when required.

Designed for continuous reliability, the amplifier operates from universal AC mains (100–240 VAC) and includes efficient forced-air cooling to maintain stable performance from 0 °C to +50 °C. Ideal for aerospace, defense, and EMC laboratories, it combines high power density, proven durability, and advanced protection in a compact, highly efficient platform.
