2.0 - 8.0 GHz, 2 Watt Solid State High Power Amplifier: MPA1003

The MPA1003 is a Class A/AB linear GaN solid-state high-power amplifier designed for ultra-broadband applications. It operates from 2 to 8 GHz and delivers a minimum output power of 33 dBm (2 watts) with a minimum power gain of 33 dB. The amplifier features a small form factor, light weight, and built-in protection circuits for reliability and ruggedness.

Key electrical specifications include a power gain flatness of 4 dB peak-to-peak, an input return loss of 10 dB, and a 2-tone intermodulation distortion of -30 dBc. The MPA1003 also offers a low noise figure of 10 dB and excellent spurious performance. Operating on a nominal voltage of 32 VDC, the amplifier consumes a maximum current of 1.5 amps at rated output power. It includes input power protection up to +8 dBm and load VSWR protection up to 5:1.
