26.5 - 40.0 GHz, 800 Watt Solid State High Power Amplifier: AMP40062 Datasheet

This high-power millimeter-wave amplifier system is engineered for demanding EMI/RFI, laboratory, continuous-wave, pulsed, and advanced communication environments requiring wide instantaneous bandwidth and exceptional linearity.

Operating across the 26.5 to 40.0 GHz frequency range, it delivers an impressive 1 kW typical saturated output power (800 W minimum), supported by advanced Class A/AB solid-state device technology for outstanding RF performance and reliability.

With a minimum 60 dB power gain, 20 dB gain adjustment range, and gain flatness within 4 dB peak-to-peak, this amplifier ensures precise signal control and stable output across the full operating band. Excellent spectral purity is maintained with –30 dBc two-tone intermodulation at 50 dBm per tone, –20 dBc harmonics, and –60 dBc spurious suppression, enabling use in sensitive test, research, and communication systems.

A robust protection suite enhances operational safety and amplifier longevity, including input overpower protection up to +10 dBm, VSWR tolerance up to 4:1 with intelligent fold-back, and optional sample-port monitoring via –40 dB K-female coupling. Extensive system monitoring, local LCD control, and flexible remote interfaces support seamless integration into automated platforms and mission-critical test environments.

Designed for continuous high-duty operation, the system operates from a 120/208 VAC 3-phase WYE supply and consumes 6 kW at full output. It withstands demanding environmental conditions with operating temperatures from 0 to +50 °C, storage down to –40 °C, and up to 95% non-condensing humidity.
