1.0 - 6.0 GHz, 100 Watt Solid State High Power Amplifier: AMP20085 Datasheet

The AMP20085 is a dual-band, small form factor rack-mounted amplifier designed for EMI/RFI, lab, CW/pulse, and communications applications. Covering 1–6 GHz (Band A) and 6–10 GHz (Band B), it delivers a minimum 100 W saturated output with instantaneous ultra-wide bandwidth using high-power Class A/AB linear devices. Fast band switching occurs in under 15 ms, enabling agile operation across diverse applications.

This amplifier provides 50 dB gain with 4 dB flatness, 20 dB adjustable gain, and features low harmonics (<–20 dBc) and low intermodulation distortion (–30 dBc typical). Input return loss is –10 dB max, and load VSWR protection ensures safe operation under challenging conditions. Optional sample ports, forward/reverse monitoring, and extensive remote interfaces, including LCD, Ethernet, USB, RS422/485, and GPIB, provide full control and real-time performance visibility.

Rugged and reliable, the AMP20085 operates in ambient temperatures from 0–50 °C, with storage capability from –40–85 °C, relative humidity up to 95%, and up to 3,000 m altitude. The unit measures 481 × 221 × 700 mm, weighs 30 kg, and features built-in variable-speed fan cooling. Optional digital monitoring and control (DMC) and safety interlocks enable precise, repeatable operation in demanding environments.
