6.0 - 18.0 GHz, 700 Watt Solid State High Power Amplifier: AMP20154 Datasheet
The Exodus AMP20154 is a high-performance, solid-state RF power amplifier designed for a broad spectrum of applications including EMI/RFI testing, communications, and both continuous wave (CW) and pulsed operations. It offers an instantaneous ultra-wide bandwidth from 6.0 to 18.0 GHz, making it suitable for modern, demanding RF environments.
This Class A/AB linear amplifier delivers a minimum saturated power output of 700 watts (750–800W typical) with a minimum gain of 58 dB and gain adjustability of at least 20 dB. Despite its high output, the amplifier maintains linearity, with -30 dBc intermodulation and -20 dBc harmonics, supporting clean signal transmission. It operates on 200–240 VAC, 3-phase input and has a maximum power consumption of 8 kW.
Designed for reliability and operational safety, the AMP20154 features built-in protection circuits for input overpower, load mismatches (VSWR up to 4:1), and thermal events. Optional Digital Monitor and Control (DMC) provides real-time feedback on forward/reverse power, VSWR, gain, voltage, current, and temperature. Interfaces include Ethernet, RS422/485, USB, and optional GPIB for remote control.
Mechanically, it fits into a 20U standard rack, weighs approximately 150 kg (or 250 kg in cabinet form), and uses air-liquid close-circuit cooling for efficient thermal management. Optional features such as RF sample ports, GPIB control, safety interlocks, and calibrated power monitoring increase system flexibility and precision.
This amplifier provides a rugged, efficient, and versatile solution for high-frequency, high-power RF applications in both lab and field environments.
