6.0 - 18.0 GHz, 300 Watt Solid State High Power Amplifier: AMP20072

The AMP20072 is a solid-state high power amplifier designed for a wide range of applications including EMI/RFI testing, laboratory work, continuous wave (CW) and pulse operations, and general communication use.
Operating across an ultra-wide frequency range of 6.0 to 18.0 GHz, the amplifier delivers a minimum output power of 300 watts and offers 55 dB minimum power gain, all housed in a compact, rack-mounted form factor.
This Class A/AB linear amplifier incorporates advanced RF device technology and is built for high efficiency, reliability, and ruggedness. It features built-in protection circuits and extensive monitoring capabilities, supporting both local (via LCD) and remote interfaces such as Ethernet (RJ-45 TCP/IP), RS422/485, USB, and optional GPIB control. Key performance characteristics include low harmonic distortion, -20 dBc maximum, and high spurious rejection, up to -60 dBc.
The unit supports gain adjustment up to 20 dB and includes protective features like input overpower protection and VSWR foldback protection. Cooling is managed through a built-in Quiet-Cool close-circuit air-liquid system.
Environmental specs include operation from 0 to +50°C, storage down to -40°C, and up to 95% relative humidity (non-condensing). It supports operation up to 3000 meters altitude and is compliant with normal transport shock and vibration standards, with MIL-spec options available.
Optional features include forward/reflected RF sample ports, digital monitor and control (DMC), and calibrated power monitoring for precision output. This amplifier is ideally suited for high-performance test environments requiring robust, reliable, and flexible RF power solutions.
