2.0 - 8.0 GHz, 70 Watt Min Solid State High Power Amplifier: AMP1146A Datasheet

The AMP1146A is a solid-state high-power amplifier featuring a Class AB linear GaN design, providing instantaneous ultra-wide bandwidth and high power coverage across the full S and C bands. With a compact form factor and lightweight construction, it offers suitability for all single-channel modulation standards. Equipped with built-in protection circuits, this amplifier ensures high reliability and ruggedness. Its electrical specifications at 50Ω and 25°C include an operating frequency range of 2.0 - 8.0 GHz, a minimum power output of 70 Watts CW, and a power gain of 48 dB minimum.

Additional features include power gain flatness of 4.0 dB p-p maximum, input/output return loss of -10 dB maximum, and various protection mechanisms against intermodulation, harmonics, spurious emissions, and input power overload. Operating at 32 VDC nominal voltage with a typical current consumption of 14 Amps at rated output/power saturation, this amplifier offers robust performance in demanding applications.
