9.1 - 9.9 GHz, 1000 W Solid State High Power Amplifier: AMP50006

The AMP50006 is a high-performance solid state pulse amplifier engineered for demanding X-Band applications requiring high output power, ruggedness, and reliability.
Built on a Class AB linear GaN design, the amplifier delivers a minimum of 1000 Watts peak pulse output power across a 9.1 to 9.9 GHz frequency range. It achieves a power gain of at least 60 dB, ensuring exceptional amplification performance with high dynamic range.
Designed for use in airborne systems, phased array radars, and other high-power X-Band pulse applications, the AMP50006 incorporates multiple built-in protections, including thermal safeguards, load VSWR protection, pulse width, and duty cycle protections. The unit demonstrates excellent RF performance, including harmonics of -35 dBc maximum at saturation and spurious emissions of -60 dBc maximum.
The amplifier supports pulse widths up to 100 µs, duty cycles up to 10%, and pulse repetition frequencies (PRF) up to 500 kHz, with typical rise and fall times of 60 ns and a pulse droop of less than 0.8 dB. Its rugged design ensures operation under harsh environmental conditions, with an operating case temperature range of -40°C to +75°C, storage down to -85°C, and humidity tolerance up to 95%.
With compact mechanical dimensions of 250 x 175 x 50 mm and a weight under 4 kg, the AMP50006 is designed for easy integration into airborne and ground-based systems. Powered by a nominal 42 VDC supply at 17 Amps typical (10% duty cycle), it combines high reliability, compact size, and robust performance for mission-critical applications.
