The AMP20078 is a solid-state, high-power amplifier from Exodus Advanced Communication, purpose-built for EMI/RFI testing, laboratory work, continuous wave (CW), pulse, and communication applications across a broad frequency spectrum.

Operating from 1.0 to 6.0 GHz, this amplifier provides 150 watts minimum saturated output power and a linear power output of at least 100 watts at 1 dB compression (P1dB), making it suitable for demanding wideband RF scenarios.

Engineered with a Class A/AB linear design and advanced high-power semiconductor technology, the AMP20078 delivers a minimum gain of 52 dB and a gain adjustment range of at least 20 dB. Its flat gain performance (within 4 dB peak-to-peak) and superior harmonic suppression (typically -20 dBc) ensure signal fidelity. Intermodulation distortion is minimized to -30 dBc under two-tone conditions, while non-harmonic spurious emissions remain below -60 dBc, supporting precision in sensitive applications.

The unit features a rugged, rack-mounted form factor, designed for both local and remote control via flexible interfaces including an optional sample port. Real-time monitoring is facilitated through a local LCD, while built-in protection circuits shield the amplifier from excessive input power (+10 dBm max) and high load VSWR (up to 4:1) with automatic foldback safeguards.
