Turnkey Solution Supports 5G NR Testing in Wireless OTA Chambers
ETS-Lindgren announced the integration of the Rohde & Schwarz (R&S) CMX500 radio communication tester to expand its turnkey 5G test solutions for customers. Pairing the R&S CMX500 with ETS-Lindgren's CTIA-compliantEMQuest™ Antenna Measurement software provides comprehensive 5G OTA test capabilities. This includes solutions for all 5G New Radio (NR) modes including FR1 (sub6 GHz), non-standalone (NSA) and standalone (SA), for both Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) and Time Division Duplex (TDD). The R&S CMX500 works with the R&S CMW500 wideband radio communication tester for cellular (LTE, C-IoT, 3G, 2G) and connectivity (WLAN, Bluetooth®) testing to provide complete coverage of all major commercial wireless technologies. The integration is ideal for ETS-Lindgren's customer requirements for current and future turnkey 5G test solutions.
"5G NR is one of many radio access technologies that needs to be tested on the next generation of wireless devices," said Jari Vikstedt, Director Wireless Solutions with ETS-Lindgren. "After extensive testing in our wireless labs, we are happy to confirm the R&S CMX500 can provide our customers with a cost-effective way to enable 5G testing. For our customers with existing ETS-Lindgren Wireless OTA chambers, it's a convenient upgrade to expand their test capabilities to support 5G NR testing."
"Different from other solutions on the market, the R&S CMX500 was designed from the ground-up to meet all of the diverse testing needs of 5G with a single solution," said Michael Thorpe, Product Manager, Rohde & Schwarz. "We are excited to be partnering with ETS-Lindgren to bring 5G NR OTA testing capabilities to the market."
