Dow-Key Spotlights Specialized RF Switch Solutions

Ventura, CA -- Dow-Key Microwave, part of Dover Corporation's Microwave Products Group (MPG), is showcasing its broad array of RF switch solutions and customer-focused services at IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium 2006, San Francisco, California, June 11-16. Visitors to booth #1512 can learn about Dow-Key's new compact 409 PCB mount switch that can be mounted directly on an electronic board as well as the company's newly introduced family of 40 GHz RF switches and an extended life switch for the ATE market. In addition, Dow-Key executives will be discussing the company's recently announced reduction in lead time for its 401, 411 and 535-565 product lines.

The integrated microwave solutions of Dow-Key and MPG sister company K&L Microwave, booth #1504, are being highlighted during the show.

Dow-Key products and services being featured at the show include the following:

Compact 409 PCB Mount Switch

The compact 409 operates at a frequency range of DC to 3.0 GHz. The new 409 switch, which is specially designed for mounting directly on a PCB, is suitable for military, ATE and commercial applications that require higher power handling and greater resistance to severe environmental conditions.

Newly Introduced Family of 40GHz RF Switches

Designed to operate with high repeatability for both military and ATE applications, the newly introduced family of products provides users with a selection of 40 GHz RF switch options. The 40 GHz line includes SP6T Multiposition Coaxial Switches, DPDT (Transfer) Coaxial Switches, and SPDT Coaxial Switches.

SPDT Latching Switch

Created in direct response to the demand for longer life mechanical switches in the ATE market, the SPDT latching switch features an operating life of 5 million cycles. It is available in a frequency range of DC to 26.5 GHz. This unit is available with actuator coils designed for 12, 15, 24, or 28 volt operation. Equipped with a latching actuator, this device switches in 15 ms (max).

Dow-Key also recently announced shortened lead times for its SPDT 401, 411 transfer switch and the multi-position 535-565 lines. These high demand switches are suitable for general applications and can be delivered in as short as one week from the time of order.
