Zeland Software, Inc.

Source: Mentor Graphics, formerly Zeland Software, Inc.
Zeland Software, Inc. was founded in 1992, specializing in electromagnetic simulation and electronic design automation. In 1993, Zeland Software, Inc. introduced the 1st product, the IE3D Electromagnetic Simulation and Optimization Package. The IE3D is based upon a 3D MOM algorithm solving the current distribution on 3D and multi-layered structures of general shape. Since its introduction in 1993, the IE3D has been widely used in the design of microwave circuits, microwave millimeter wave integrated circuits (MMICs), RF integrated circuits (RFIC), RF printed circuits, HTS circuits and filters, microstrip patch antennas, wire antennas, various kinds of wireless antennas. IC transmission liners, and IC packaging. The IE3D has become an industrial standard for planar and 3D electromagnetic simulation.

In 1997, the company introduced the FIDELITY Full-3D Time Domain Electromagnetic Simulator. The FIDELITY is a non-uniform FDTD based simulator solving the field distribution on a general 3D structure. It is very suitable for various kinds of antennas, waveguides, dielectric antennas and dielectric resonators, and other kinds of microwave circuits and antennas.

In 1999, Zeland Software, Inc. introduced the MDSPICE Mixed Domain SPICE Simulator for wide bandwidth SPICE simulation based upon s-parameters. The MDSPICE is a bridge for full-wave electromagnetic simulation and high-speed time domain simulation.

In the year of 2000, we are pleased to introduce the COCAFIL, a synthesis program for coupled cavity rectangular waveguide filters. The mode-matching based synthesis program can yield high accuracy design for bandpass and high-pass filters almost in real time.
