Xemod Unleashes Modules, 30 W Products
Sunnyvale, CA-based has added a set of 30 W units to its arsenal of QuikPAC power modules. The new 30W products are the next piece in Xemod's "building block" total solution, which will enable designers to easily generate complete RF designs for single- and multi-carrier power amplifiers.
Xemod's QuikPAC modules, which are also available in 60 and 120 W versions, provide the RF technology necessary for building linear power amplifiers (LPAs). Targeted at cellular applications, the modules act as the building blocks for any power amplifier. In particular, the 30 W modules are designed as the driver or output stage in a cellular base station LPA for both US and European frequency bands.
The 30 W products feature single polarity operation, 50 W RF interfaces, high gain, and low intermodulation distortion (IMD). The modules are immediately available. Prices begin at $62 for small quantities.
Power modules
On a related note, Xemod has unveiled a set of modules that incorporate pre-set operating points. These modules, designated the GR line, have all the features of the existing Xemod 30, 60, and 120 W QuikPAC power modules with the addition of a system for internally controlling gate voltage.
The GR line of modules adds voltage regulation and temperature compensation to the existing QuikPAC gate bias circuitry. In addition, each stage is pre-set to the optimum quiescent point at the factory. The user only needs to apply DC voltages to achieve full-spec performance. Further alignment is not required.
The new GR Line includes 30, 60 and 120 W units in both the US Cellular and GSM-900 bands. Pricing begins at $75 each for quantity 1 to 24 of the QPP-013 30 W part. All models are available now.
