X-Band 60 Watt GaN Power Amplifier: QPA2811
Qorvo's QPA2811 is a high-performance, packaged X-band power amplifier designed for demanding applications such as military radar systems.
Operating across the 8.5 to 10.55 GHz frequency range, it is fabricated using Qorvo’s proven 0.15 μm GaN on SiC process (QGaN15), which ensures robust performance and long-term reliability.
The QPA2811 delivers impressive RF characteristics, including 48.9 dBm saturated output power, 27.9 dB large-signal gain, and an outstanding 48.5% power-added efficiency (PAE). These features make it well-suited for systems requiring high output power with efficient energy use, especially in space-constrained or thermally challenging environments.
Housed in a compact 7 mm x 7 mm, 48-pin plastic overmolded package, the amplifier is designed for ease of integration into a variety of RF systems. Its good thermal characteristics and support for a wide range of bias voltages provide flexibility in adapting to diverse system requirements.
The device’s RF ports are DC grounded and matched to 50 ohms, ensuring ease of use in standard RF designs. Additionally, the QPA2811 is lead-free and RoHS compliant, aligning with environmental and manufacturing regulations.
