e2v technologies have developed a 500MHz bandwidth, X-band High-Level Low Noise Amplifier (HL-LNA), with an integral filter giving >50dB rejection 1.3GHz above and below the operating frequency band.
A light-weight, rigid construction, along with sealed internal lid interfaces, lend the module to operation in hostile environments.
The amplifier chain utilises well-characterised and proven discrete semiconductor stages: the input amplifier stage is designed with low noise HEMT devices, whilst the output stage utilises medium power GaAsFETs, giving the amplifier a high dynamic range.
