Wolfspeed To Exhibit & Present At GOMACTech 2017
Wolfspeed, A Cree Company, a global leader in wide bandgap semiconductor technology and the premier provider of the industry’s most field-tested SiC power and GaN-on-SiC RF solutions, is participating at the 2017 GOMACTech Conference March 20 – 23 in Reno, NV.
“As the world’s largest dedicated, commercial wide-bandgap production facility, we look forward to promoting Wolfspeed’s RF foundry and custom power services and engaging with the government technology community at GOMACTech,” said Dr. Dave Grider, Wolfspeed’s manager of customer power services. “GOMACTech is a prime opportunity for the discussion on the future of wide-bandgap microcircuit applications for government systems, and I’m confident our white paper on next-gen power electronics will open up a dialogue on the benefits of SiC technology.”
Exhibiting at Booth #44, Wolfspeed’s representatives, Dr. Jeff Barner, Richie Richards, and Dr. Grider, will discuss the advantages of the organization’s foundry and custom power services. Additionally, Dr. Grider will present a paper – “Recent Advancement in SiC Power Technology for Next Generation Power Electronics” – on Wednesday, March 22 from 3:30 pm – 5:10 pm. The presentation will center on the performance, efficiency, and reliability advantages that SiC power technologies offer for current and next-gen power electronics systems, with reviews on recent advancements in the development of 900V to 10kV SiC MOSFET power device technology, as well as ≥15kV SiC GTO and SiC IGBT power device technologies.
