WIRELESS 99Spectrian Unveils CDMA Multicarrier Amp; Demonstrates IMT-2000 Product
Amplifier manufacturer Spectrian has released a CDMA narrowband multicarrier amplifier for the wireless base station market. In addition, the company has started displaying a broadband single carrier power amplifier (SCPA) for emerging wideband CDMA (W-CDMA) applications.
On exhibit at the Wireless 99 show in New Orleans, the SMC 3000 narrowband CDMA MCPA is designed for systems operating in the 800 MHz, 1800/1900 MHz, and 2.1 to 2.4 GHz range. This amplifier is supplied with a 1.25 to 10 MHz operating bandwidth. In addition, the product is designed to carry multiple narrowband CDMA signals with a total output power of between 20 and 30 W.
Spectrian is also running a live demonstration of its new IMT-2000 amplifier during the Wireless 99 showcase. This amplifier delivers 25 W output power in W-CDMA applications and spans the 2.11 to 2.17 GHz frequency range.
The IMT-2000 amplifier is available in a standard equipment configuration with up to four 25 W amplifiers per shelf. It also features hot swap field replaceable modules as well as RS-232, RS422, and RS485 interfaces.
