Wallingford, CT -- Winchester Electronics has won a special Supplier Recognition Award from Advanced Energy (AE), a producer of power supplies for high technology companies based in Fort Collins, CO.

According to Jim Olsen, AE Materials Program Manager, "Winchester provided effort above and beyond expectation in connection with our move and transfer from Stolberg, Germany, to facilities in the United States and China."

The announcement was made on Advanced Energy's annual Supplier Day, and Winchester Electronics was the only company to receive this year's Supplier Recognition Award.

To help expedite the move, Winchester sent a team to Stolberg to check cable assemblies, revise documentation from German to English, and reverse-engineer product specifications for future use.

"We value our relationship with companies like Advanced Energy," said Mike Driscoll, president and CEO of Winchester. "Our 800 employees are proud of this award. Going the extra mile is part of our customer-centric strategy – helping customers, not merely providing components," he added.
