QuinStar Technology, Inc., has developed a W-Band Interferometer, which features high sensitivity and phase resolution. It operates at a specified frequency in the range of 75 to 110 GHz for the applications of accurate real-time measurement of amplitude and phase characteristics of a medium such as plasma or other dynamically changing dielectric material (confined in a chamber or vessel) under testing. The measurement subsystem works on the principle of coherent signal processing using a phase bridge. The subsystem includes provisions to calibrate the subsystem and/or adjust the transmitter signal for a specific chamber or plasma vessel.
