Vishay Release Thin Film Resistor Networks and Precision Matched-Pair Resistors

Passive component manufacturer Vishay Intertechnology Inc. (Malvern, PA) is offering new surface-mount thin film resistor networks and precision matched-pair resistors. The three series of thin film resistor networks combine up to 23 resistors in a single, surface-mount package.

The new devices will serve in a variety of pull-up and pull-down applications for both analog and digital circuits in industrial, medical, communications, and computing systems. With a temperature coefficient ratio of plus/minus 100 ppm/degrees C and standard tolerances of plus/minus 5%, the resistor networks offer designers a choice of package styles, schematic options, and standard resistance values. Package types include the 16-, 20-, and 24-pin TSSOP (VTSR), SSOP, and QSOP (VSSR), and the 16-pin narrow-body SOIC (VSOR).

The new series of precision matched-pair resistors (thin film resistor dividers) in the surface-mount SOT-23 package features temperature coefficient ratio tracking of plus/minus 2 ppm/degrees C and a ratio tolerance as tight as 0.05%. The new MPM series will serve a wide range of applications requiring precision resistor matching and close TCR tracking over temperature and size.

As a replacement for discrete chip resistors, the MPM series combines space savings and superior performance, with resistive elements integrated within a single package onto a common substrate and resulting in near-identical conditions over time and temperature for each element.
