VCO: CRO1320A-LF Features Ultra Low Phase Noise For Satellite Communication Equipment
Z-Communications, Inc. announces a new RoHS compliant VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) model CRO1320A-LF for the SATCOM market. The CRO1320A-LF is designed to cover 1320 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0.5 to 4.5 Vdc. This single frequency, high performance VCO has been optimized to feature extremely low phase noise of -120 dBc/Hz @ 10 kHz offset while operating off a 5Vdc supply and typically drawing only 29mA of current.
The CRO1320A-LF provides the end user an output power of 3±3 dBm into a 50Ω load while operating over the extended commercial temperature range of -40 to 85ºC. This unmatched VCO suppresses the second harmonic to better than -18 dBc while operating with a tuning sensitivity of only 3 MHz/V. The CRO1320A-LF is further heightened by its frequency stability versus pushing and pulling. The VCO pulls less than 0.5 MHz with a 12dB return loss, any phase, and pushes less than 0.5 MHz/V within a 5% change of the supply voltage.
The CRO1320A-LF comes in Z-Comm’s industry standard MINI-16-SM package measuring 0.5 in. x 0.5 in. x 0.22 in. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements making it ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow. For more information, visit http://www.zcomm.com.
