U.S. Army Awards Comtech $12.4 Million For Mobile Satellite Terminal Equipment

Melville, NY -- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. announced that its Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation, received orders totaling $12.4 million under its Movement Tracking System, or MTS contract, with the U.S. Army. Total orders received to date against the $463.2 million MTS contract increased to $428.6 million.

The orders are for the supply of Comtech's Model MT-2011 and MT-2012 mobile satellite transceivers, ruggedized and control station computers, and support services. The orders are in support of ongoing program activities in the United States and abroad. Comtech's Model MT-2012 mobile satellite transceivers feature embedded Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, including Savi Technology's ISO-compliant EchoPoint RFID Reader, as well as secure Global Positioning System (GPS) capabilities.
