TWT Amplifiers: dB-4051 / dB-4051A
The dB-4051 and dB-4051A are advanced rack-mounted Ka-Band traveling wave tube amplifiers (TWTAs) designed for high-performance applications in the frequency range of 17.5 to 40 GHz.
These amplifiers are ideal for a variety of signal amplification needs, offering minimum output power levels of 50 Watts and 40/50 Watts, respectively. Both models utilize a wide-band, periodic permanent magnet (PPM)-focused, conduction-cooled TWT for the amplification of CW, AM, FM, or pulse-modulated signals. Their power supply topologies incorporate proprietary low-noise, high-efficiency designs to ensure optimal operation of the RF signal path.
An embedded micro-controller in both amplifiers provides robust interface, control, and protection functions, along with comprehensive fault diagnostics and status indications. Standard communication interfaces include Ethernet, and both units are housed in a standard 19-inch rack-mount configuration with an integral forced air cooling system.
