Testing Radar Warning Receivers (RWRs)

RWRs/ESM receivers use multiple phase coherent receivers to determine the threat signal’s angle of arrival (AOA). For indoor/lab testing of RWRs and ESM receivers, test signals are applied directly to the antenna ports using RF cables, therefore avoiding the over-the-air transmission of RF threat signals.
