White Paper: Tektronix Real-Time Spectrum Analyzer Baseband Measurements

Source: Tektronix, Inc.
The Tektronix Real-Time Spectrum Analyzer (RTSA) models have a low noise floor extending down to DC. This is due to direct A/D sampling of signals below a certain frequency, which eliminates the zero frequency spur and noise near DC due to the downconversion LO (local oscillator) feedthrough. A small signal at DC is still present (due to DC input offset and I/Q center offset), and this residual signal can be reduced by using the internal calibration feature.
