ST Design Introduces Multi-Drop DIO For RF/Microwave Switching Systems

Trumbull, CT -- The multi-drop digital input output (Multi-DIO) board from ST Design, LLC is the core building block for the company's remote multi-channel RF switching system (DinSwitch-ST). Based on DIN rail mounting, RF signals can be routed close to signal sources, minimizing cable length requirements. Multi-DIO has 24 individual high voltage coil drivers and TTL/CMOS digital outputs, and is computer-controlled via serial RS-422/485 or RS-232.

Product features of Multi-DIO include:

  • 24-Bit TTL Digital I/O
  • 24 high current MOSFET drivers
  • ANSI X3.8 Protocol, 10 Nodes
  • +24 to +5 VDC power input
  • LED Status Indicators
  • Daisy chain connectors on board for up to 240 channels
  • Standard 35mm DIN rail mounting

Non-mounted dimensions of the Multi-DIO are 6.25 L x 3.0 W x 1.2 H typical, and 1.75" typical height when DIN-rail mounted, exclusive of electrical interface connectors. System architects and integrators can use Multi-DIO with ST Design's offering of RF and microwave switching products, or select third-party switch products. All of ST Design's product offerings can be DIN-rail mounted or housed onto EIA 19-inch rack panels.

Other products within the DinSwitch-ST line include DIN-mounted power supplies, DIN rail hardware, prototyping modules, solid-state switching (SMA / BNC) and software drivers.
