Spectrum Emission Mask Measurements: Special Considerations For Millimeter-Wave

Source: Keysight Technologies

By Keysight Technologies

A spectrum emission mask is a convenient solution for checking if a 5G millimeter-wave (mmWave) device meets relevant standard emissions for unwanted interference. The mask is a limit of power at specific frequencies surrounding the carrier channel expressed as a function of the carrier power. The range for spectrum mask measurements has traditionally been in the MHz range, but broadband mmWave signals will require new regulations and test protocols in the 30 to 300 GHz range. This white paper discusses the special considerations for spectrum emission mask measurements for mmWave frequencies. Download the full paper for more information.
