HFSS™ v11.1 software for 3-D full-wave electromagnetic field simulation is now shipping!

HFSS v11.1 includes a number of new enhancements including:

  • Meshing and model resolution and validation features
  • Nastran (.nas) geometry import
  • Parasolid and Unigraphic geometry import (Windows only)
  • Enhanced post-processing features

HFSS v11.1 is available for the following platforms: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, XP Professional x64 Edition, Server 2003, Server 2003 x64 Edition, Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions 3 and 4 (32- and 64-bit OS), SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 (32- and 64-bit OS) and Solaris versions 8-10 (64-bit OS).


Ansoft debuts HFSS™ v11 with even greater accuracy, capacity, and performance. New higher-order, hierarchical basis combined with an iterative solver provides accurate fields, smaller meshes, and efficient solutions for large multi-wavelength structures. Complex geometries solve 2-5X faster using half the memory with the new v11 fault-tolerant, high-quality finite element mesher. Continued user interface refinement and data linking enables co-design of complex electronic systems. HFSS is widely used for designing RF/microwave components, on-chip passives, PCB interconnects, antennas, and IC packages.
