SMA Extension Cable Assemblies Deliver Low Loss Connectivity For Automotive And Industrial Designs

Amphenol RF is pleased to introduce SMA straight plug to straight plug cable assemblies into our expansive interconnect portfolio. These robust jumpers are designed on industry standard TFC 302LL cable which offers a low loss solution for new designs. SMA extension cables are available in lengths from 1 to 15 meters which make them ideal for automotive telematics, ADAS, IoT and test applications where extended cable runs demand both flexibility and signal integrity.

50 ohm SMA extension cables provide reliable RF performance up to 12 GHz with a wide operating temperature range from −40 °C to +105 °C which allows them to withstand harsh environmental conditions. SMA connectors utilized in this design offer secure mating suitable for enduring high-vibration events. In addition, heat shrink strain relief protects terminations during installation. The SMA connectors are engineered using nickel-plated brass body, gold-plated brass center contacts and a PTFE insulator. TFC 302LL cable is manufactured with a PVC cable jacket, tinned copper braid shield and polyolefin heat shrink.
