Miniature, Push-On Blindmate RF Interconnect System -- SGMS
Datasheet: Miniature, Push-On Blindmate RF Interconnect System -- SGMS
Corning Gilbert introduces SGMS™ — a miniature, push-on blind mate RF interconnect system—originally designed to replace the threaded SMA miniature connector for harsh environments. This high performance microwave product line eliminates the need for torque wrench, allowing for increased package density, while saving time and money. The SGMS™ interconnect system allows for large radial and axial misalignment tolerances. It provides low noise levels, optimum stability and can withstand the shock and vibration often present in harsh environments.
Available in 50 Ohm versions, these connectors feature cable plugs, jacks and bullets, and accept a wide range of coaxial cables. SGMS™ interconnects are manufactured in accordance with MIL-PRF-39012, with similar size and power handling capability as the threaded SMA type connectors. Its properties make them ideal for multiple mate and backplane applications.
Designed for fast, easy and reliable engagement and disengagement, Corning Gilbert's SGMS™ products provide excellent mechanical and electrical performance characteristics over the range of frequencies from DC to 23 GHz. SGMS products are ideal for use on components such as rack-mount equipment, microwave modules and card-type packages. It is currently utilized within the military/aerospace, telecom, base stations, and instrumentation and process controls applications.
