SemiProbe Launches High-speed Semiautomatic Probing System

Burlington, VT -- SemiProbe LLC has announced the release of the SA-6 high-speed semiautomatic probing system for wafers 150 mm (6") and smaller. SemiProbe is the exclusive American distributor of this prober, which is manufactured in Taiwan ROC. Ideally suited for tabletop production applications, the SA-6 is configurable for RF/microwave, failure analysis, MEMS, optoelectronics, discrete device characterization, and R & D applications.

"This new wafer prober offers our customers a new, highly reliable system at a price similar to the cost of rebuilt EG1034, EG2001, or R&K1032 probe stations," Denis Place, president of SemiProbe, stated. "These machines set standards during their day, but old electronics, operating systems, and mechanics make them a maintenance liability today."

The SA-6 systems are capable of upgrade to add a wide variety of accessories including optics, lasers, thermal systems, etc. Individual manipulators or probecards may be used. SemiProbe offers full service, service contracts, and applications support for this system.
