Sectorized Hub Antenna for MMDS

Sectorized Hub Antenna for MMDS
Series AMH1000 is designed for MMDS hub (head-end) application
REMEC Magnum introduces the latest in its family of SectorShape antennas. Series AMH1000 is designed for MMDS hub (head-end) application. These antennas have shaped vertical patterns that provide uniform coverage as a function of range and eliminate nulls. Using a highly automated design process that takes advantage of advanced EM analysis and artificial intelligence, these antennas will allow system providers to move easily to sectorized hub coverage as the emerging two-way internet access market adds subscribers. Down-tilt is achieved electrically with a cosecant-squared elevation pattern insuring uniform illumination of all subscribers in range. Shaped azimuth patterns insure uniform sector coverage, reduced spillover into adjacent cells, and lower backlobes.

Nine horizontally polarized standard models are available covering the 2100 to 2700 MHz frequency range. Azimuth sector coverage of 45°, 60°, and 90° is available and power capability is rated at 3000 Watts. Better than 40 dB crosspolar rejection at all angles is achieved. Gains are 20 dBi for the 45° azimuth, 18.5 dBi for the 60° azimuth, and 17 dBi for the 90°.

The azimuth beam width can be changed in the field or REMEC Magnum factory by exchanging externally mounted beam shapers. This feature will allow providers to adjust sector coverage without purchasing new antennas.

REMEC Magnum's advanced CAD also allows quick reaction to custom pattern requirements.
