Syracuse, NY -- SONNET Software, Inc. announces that Rockwell Collins has selected Sonnet Suites Professional Release 10 as part of their complete set of EDA design tools. In addition, Rockwell Collins has implemented Sonnet's new emCluster Computing support, providing EM analysis through parallel processing on their grid computing network. Sonnet Professional will help the designers at Rockwell Collins in their development of advanced packaging (especially Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramic or LTCC) technology for government applications.

Sonnet Suites Professional is a full-wave 3D Planar EM field solver based on the Method of Moments (MOM) using Fast Fourier Transforms (FFTs) to give accuracy and speed over other MOM codes based on numerical integration. By using the FFT technique, analyzing multilayer problems such as LTCC packages becomes an efficient task for Sonnet Professional. The new Release 10 also offers an impressive array of interfaces that allows seamless integration with major design frameworks like Agilent EEsof EDA's ADS, Cadence Virtuoso, AWR Microwave Office and Eagleware-Elanix GENESYS. Through its emCluster Computing, Sonnet now supports parallelization of time-intensive computations to multiple network computers, realizing shorter computation times critical for time-sensitive design cycles.
