Richardson RFPD Introduces Two New 200W PIN Diode Switches From MACOM

SP4T and SP3T switches designed for applications requiring high continuous wave and pulsed power operation
Richardson RFPD, Inc. announced recently the availability and full design support capabilities for two new 200W PIN diode switches from M/A-COM Technology Solutions.
The MASW-011040 and MASW-011041 are high power PIN diode switches in common anode configurations, operating from 50 MHz to 1 GHz and featuring low insertion loss and excellent linearity. The MASW-011040 SP4T switch includes two high-power ports capable of handling up to 200W CW and two low-power ports capable of handling up to 100W CW of incident power at a base plate temperature of +85ºC, while the MASW-011041 SP3T switch includes the two high-power ports and one low-power port.
Both devices are designed for applications requiring higher CW and pulsed power operations, including land mobile radio and MIL-COM applications. They can be operated with positive-only DC supplies, making them suitable for switch-filter and power amplifier control circuits.
According to MACOM, additional key features of the MASW-011040 and MASW-011041 include:
- Insertion loss: <0.5 dB
- Isolation: >40 dB
- Harmonics: <-70 dBc
- Lead-free 9 mm HQFN 20-lead package
